IPEA Conference

IPEA Conference 2016

The International Polarity Education Alliance  conference which was held at Charney Manor in the lovely countryside of Oxfordshire. England.
Wow that was my first IPEA conference. What an eventful weekend. Not knowing what to expect I arrived with an open mind and heart and I was not disappointed. The drive up to Oxford had been pretty scary as the rain lashed down  and visibility became difficult, but, being typical British weather the rain stopped and in the blink of an eye the sun shone, but the rain followed us up from Wales. it really made a spectacle of itself with heavy rain and thunder…having so much energy in one place wonder the heavens opened and the thunder came.

What a lovely place it was to stay in and the food was great…having to cater for all our different needs was handled well.

It was great to meet lots of lovely people from all around the world with great ideas on how to incorporate other aspects of holistic work into  Polarity and vice versa

Polarity  is part of every  therapy. It is the heart of all  therapies.

Thank you to everyone who gave a talk, giving us an inside into your use of polarity, this kept us talking for hours. It was midnight before we were going to sleep,  then having to get up early in the morning for Yoga  with Lea-ann Furphy ..which was fab… yes Lea-ann now I’m hooked.  And thanks to  Chris McGrath for making us be water molecules and running around the garden was so much fun ..until rain stopped play…again

A visit to  Winston Churchill’s family home Blenheim Palace on Sunday afternoon  alas was cut short as  Elton John was giving a concert there that evening, but we did have time to look around the beautiful house and the gardens  which were lovely.

Once again our table at dinner time let the side down as we laughed non-stop for almost all of the hour…I blame Lea-ann and Myriam Berger how could something go from Churchill’s  pyjamas that were a lovely burgundy velvet onesie to rabbits …I just don’t know

The last day …a true feeling of sadness….from a gentle qi gong in the morning with  Chris….. to saying goodbye to everyone was quite  overwhelming

I don’t know of any other holistic therapy that has a gathering,  That’s what makes Polarity very special.

Now where is the next one!!

Change your energy, Change your life

When your energy’s  low it’s hard, to control your emotions, think positive thoughts and stay healthy


Change your energy- Raise your vibration (your positive energy)

What does it mean to change your energy and  raise your vibration? It means to increase your level of positive energy, your happiness, your health and your overall success. Just a few years ago my energy’s vibration was low so low in fact that at one time I felt it couldn’t get any lower (I was working for the NHS at the time). I had felt totally and utterly stuck with no idea how to move forward with my life. I just seemed to be attracting the wrong people into my life who often left me feeling anxious and drained. That was then, now, fast forward a few years and I not only have my health back, an amazing new career and some wonderful friendships both old and new. Not only did I manage to achieve my goal in raising my vibration, but I have also learnt (and still learning) how to keep it up there.

What is Vibration? ( Universal Life Energy)

Everything in the universe is made up of energy that vibrates at different frequencies. From solid objects (e.g. tables and chairs) to us, even our thoughts have a frequency. Vibrations operate at both high and low frequencies, these occur within us. Have you ever heard the saying, like attracts like. It means whatever is going on in your mind is what your attracting. People who think about what they don’t want have low vibrations, which are linked with negative thoughts, emotions, poor health and a lack of spiritual awareness. People who think about what they do want have high vibrations, which are linked with positive thoughts, emotions, good health and a strong spiritual awareness. So, how do we raise our vibration? I know it sounds difficult, but it is in fact very simple. There are so many ways to do this, here are just a few you can use to start attracting more positive experiences and overall abundance in your life.

1. Your thoughts.

What you say, think or feel will become your reality. Every single thought that pops into your head will have an impact on you. When you change your thoughts into positive thoughts, your reality is likely to become more positive too. If you think that’s easier said than done, then just try it the next time a negative thought pops into your head, acknowledge it, thank it for showing up and then let it go and turn it into a positive thought.. excite your surroundings.

2. Finding something beautiful and appreciate it.

We so often walk around with blinkers on, yet there is beauty all around us. Take a deep breath, stop for a moment and just take the time to stand in the sun, or, kick your shoes off and just feel the earth beneath your feet and appreciate your surroundings.

3.  The foods you eat.

Do you know that foods vibrate at different frequencies, Try to consume good quality (organic) food just as nature intended it, and feel the high vibrations circulate throughout your body. Eat more raw food, the more organic and unprocessed, the higher the vibration.

4. Drink water.

Our body needs water to function properly. Dehydration can leave you feeling exhausted and tired,  drinking plenty of water will keep your body well hydrated. This will help your body to flush out toxins and keep your energy levels and vibration levels high.

5. Meditate.

All too often we rush around with a cluttered brain. Meditation helps to calm our thoughts and helps  us find a peaceful state of mind. Start by sitting or laying in a comfortable position, close your eyes and breath deeply slowly allowing yourself to completely relax. Simply take five minutes each day and practice resting in the space between your thoughts.

6. Be grateful.

Being grateful changes your vibrations, it reminds you of what’s important in your life, stopping yourself focusing on what you don’t have to what you do have. Look around you there is more to be grateful for than you could ever imagine.

7. Practice acts of kindness.

Acts of kindness are a selfless act that can change someone’s day. It starts by giving to others (without expecting anything in return). It changes your way of thinking from “I don’t have enough” to “I have enough “ changing your vibration from low to high.

8. Get your blood pumping.

All vibration requires movement, the more movement the higher the vibration, the happier you’ll feel. One way to change your vibration is to get active.

9. Laughter

There is nothing like a really good laugh to improve how you are feeling and to help raise your energetic vibration. “A day without laughter is a day wasted” Charlie Chaplin once said.  Osho once said, “Life as such has to be taken as cosmic joke – and then suddenly you relax because there is nothing to be tense about. And in that very relaxation something starts changing in you.”

10. Music

Listen to music you enjoy. Music really is just sound frequencies and vibrations being experienced through the sense of hearing. When you listen to music that you like, it helps to raise your vibration and trigger positive emotions.

All The Fun of The Fair

Well how fun was that..introducing Polarity Therapy to the lovely people who came to see us.

Polarity Wales  ( based in Swansea ) just got back from being part of the Souls Awakening Spiritual & Wellbeing Fair in Porthcawl. Thank you Emma for making us feel so welcome.

There were such an amazing range of talented therapists ..something for everyone….So exciting!!!
I must admit I have never been part of a Holistic Fair before.

Though I loved every minute, I must say that I was rather nervous and excited at the same time. This was not the first time of taking Polarity Therapy out into the big bad world..OK …Wales but it was the first Holistic fair that Polarity Wales had been part of …but not the last. We’ll have more news on this in the next few weeks.

Better yet, the Fair had that essential but often elusive quality — Heart.

There were, I admit, moments when I wished that the time for the taster sessions had been longer but with so many people not having heard of Polarity Therapy before and wanting to try it, time was limited.

Discovering Polarity Therapy

I love working one on one with people who are seeking greater health, wholeness and well being.

Originally, I was looking for a deeper mind-and body approach to Reflexology for my family, clients and a better understanding of this for myself. I have studied Reiki to Master level, but this still didn’t feel complete, I felt that there was something missing, not just from my treatments, but from my day to day living. I was looking for that missing piece of the jigsaw that brought everything together as a whole. I received many different treatments all were lovely but not what I felt was right for me.

I received a Polarity treatment which left me feeling enlightened and with an Immense sense of peace and well-being. The session left me with a clearer sense of greater possibilities for my health and all aspects of my life. I knew without hesitation I wanted to share this wonderful treatment with others as a practitioner. And so my journey began

How Therapy Changed Me

This came about at a time in my life, when I was looking for what I wanted to do with the next part of my life, I knew something was missing.

I had tried many different treatments each one gave me a little bit of what I thought I wanted and needed….then I discovered Polarity Therapy so I thought why not , I’ll give it a try. Within ten minutes of lying on the couch I felt the energy move within me like nothing I had experienced before. I left my first session feeling enlightened and with an Immense sense of peace, well-being and wholeness, I felt great.

Studying To Be A Therapist

My first experience with Polarity Therapy was when I had an opportunity to study just a small part of the Polarity Course, the Reflexology and the General session.( in the UK) This gave me the stimulating and rewarding experience to expand my knowledge of bodywork. Something I felt had been missing and I wanted to learn more and complete the course. Finding family and friends were a bit sceptical when I first asked them to be my case studies but after a few treatments they couldn’t get enough. Progress to train in the UK was very slow. I therefore looked abroad to finish my training and completed my studies with Masterworks International.

Therapy and Animals

Polarity Wales Swansea offers Polarity Therapy for pets and animals. It is very gentle and non-invasive .I have found that many animal therapies are based on human therapies with a few adaptations to accommodate their different anatomy and forms, It is important that as therapists, we stay informed and educated on the latest updates and therapies By gently using the hands or fingers, contacts are applied to your pet’s or animal’s body. the therapeutic touch techniques are light and gentle. This form of alternative therapy is very different from pet massage, pet chiropractic, or animal acupuncture. There are no forceful manipulations of tissue, muscles, or joints or the use of needles

When interacting with both animals, and their owners I can really appreciate the relationships that they have with each other and the importance in their health and wellness.

Animals have an unlimited loyalty giving of themselves constantly, even those struggling with health or emotional issues.

Being able to offer them the best support in both conventional medicine and alternative therapies ensures they get the best treatment available
